FAQ - DRYER

How does creasing occur in drying?
Creasing is a natural phenomenon in drying process. IFB dryers have auto reversing action of drum and cool down cycle which reduces creasing.
How to avoid excessive creasing?
Excessive creasing can occur due to over drying, overloading, exposure to zips and hooks within the load. Dry load should also be removed from the drum soon after the completion of cycle.
How do you sort the load?
Preferably, heavy cottons should be separated from synthetics as it takes more time to dry. When combined synthetics tend to get over dried which can cause wrinkling, shrinking and actual damage to material fibers.

Assorting the load can also save time and energy.
What is the Energy consumption of the dryer?
The dryer has a heater of 1.8 KW. Energy consumption various from 1.5 to 4.9 KWh. However, it may vary depending on the fabric type, mix of garments, moisture content, atmospheric humidity, power supply conditions, etc.
What is the temperature of hot air inside the drum?
The operating temperature inside the drum is 500C.
What is safety cut off and why is it required?
The safety cut-off operates at 1050C in eventualities of excessive lint build up in the mesh filter, normal cut-off or overloading and thus keeps parts and clothes safe.
